Your location

A streamlined, modern cabin with a compact footprint and a surprisingly spacious feel — designed to be built quickly, anywhere, by anyone.

THE VISION
Sometimes, the design brief is simple: start from scratch and make something great. With no client, no site constraints, and no existing structure, I had the chance to explore what happens when form and function are distilled into their purest, most efficient version.

The goal: a modern, pre-designed house that’s easy to build, adaptable to its environment, and aesthetically grounded in the Pacific Northwest. From coastal retreats to backyard ADUs, this little house was designed to live large and land lightly.

It’s compact — just 650 square feet — but laid out to maximize light, flow, and livability. High ceilings, strategic window placement, and clean sight lines make the interior feel open and expansive. These modern cabin plans are flexible, easily scaled up or down, adapted for sloped terrain, or reconfigured to include a loft or second bedroom.

Plans will be available soon for anyone looking to bring this modern cabin to life — whether that’s on a windswept ridge, beside a quiet lake, or in your own backyard. The layout is simple, efficient, and repeatable, but there’s flexibility built in.
